Electrolytic processes or chemical coatings consist electrochemically depositing thin layers of metal on the surface of a submerged workpiece in a solution of metal ions or electrolyte.

In this process relatively pure, salts and metals, chemicals are used so that during the operation the metals used on parts completely deposited.
